Can you tell us what you do at BRIDON International Ltd.?

I am a Team Leader in the Fishing team which involves the day to running of the fishing team making sure we hit safety, delivery and quality targets on a day to day basis.

What do you enjoy most about working at BRIDON, and about your job in particular?

Each day brings a fresh challenge. No two days are the same. Also it gives you a lot of satisfaction to see people who you started out with come through and make it. You also get a lot of job satisfaction when you hit your targets each month as that is the main purpose of the job.

What made you want to work for BRIDON, how long have you worked for the Company, and how did you start?

I wanted to work for Bridon as it was a large high profile company with a big future and it was also also local as I was working away from home at the time. I’ve worked for the company for 18 ½ years. When I started I was a labourer, but always had ambitions of being a machine operator. When the opportunity came up I jumped at the chance. I was machine operator for 11 years, then I was given the opportunity to move up to be a Team Leader which I have done for 7 ½ years in 3 different teams within the factory.

What would you say to a potential future employee about BRIDON and the development opportunities available for people wanting to aspire to a similar position as yourself?

If you get your head down and work hard the opportunities are there for you to progress and get on and achieve what ever you want to do.
